Meet Our Staff

Jennifer Perrius

Founder, Owner, Artistic Director

In her 7th season, our artistic director and owner, Jennifer Perrius, has 30 years dance experience in all disciplines, with 22 years dance teaching experience. She trained in New York, where she studied under numerous notable instructors. She has served as the Artistic Director of the Jacksonville Civic Ballet Company and has performing experience with Performing Arts Ensemble, Red Bank NJ and with Soles of the Feet, Frederick, MD.

Olivia Burkhart

Teacher, Marketing

Olivia Burkhart fell in love with dance at a very young age and continued her dance training at various studios around the Warrenton, Virginia area. At 17 she began dancing, teaching and competing with Progressions Dance School. At 18, she joined Nomadic Artist and performed with them in Small Plates Festivals, showcases at Joy of Motion in Washington, DC and at RAW Artists at the Howard Theater. Recently, she was asked to perform as a solo artist at RAW. She is currently continuing dancing, teaching and choreographing and doing solo dance projects on her own as various opportunities arise. 

Lucia Hanover

Theater Teacher

M. Lucia Hanover – (acting technique instructor) Lucia began performing in the theater at 14 in Alexandria, VA. Studying and performing at HB Studios and HB Playwrights foundation in the West Village of New York was where Lucia began to utilize a stronger sensory based method to acting. She worked at HB Studios while still acting, producing and directing with various off-Broadway and off off-Broadway theatre companies in NY. Lucia has also worked with the Paradigm Talent Agency.  Recently, Lucia made her debut at Fauquier Community Theatre directing the 2017 production of “Fruitcakes”. She will be also be directing the upcoming production of “Madagascar” at FCT this summer.

Ellie Avery

Teacher

Ellie Avery graduated from Fauquier High School. She has been dancing for 18 years and has competed regionally and nationally for 7 years. In April 2014 she was awarded a tap scholarship at 24/Seven Dance Convention. She's trained in jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater, modern, ballet, and tap.  She is currently studying visual arts at Virginia Commonwealth University and teaches for Progressions during her breaks from college.
