Know your stuff

We need to know where we came from to go where we can go. As dancers, it is our job to pass along the traditions, history and cultures that got us to where we are today. Our gift is storytelling, our medium is our body and we have an obligation to know and share what has graciously been passed down to us. Think about a legendary artist, do you remember the work they did, and the impact they made, or do you remember the award they were given?
